Policies for Guided School Tours Guided School Tours begin at 9:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m. and 1:00p.m., Tuesday - Friday. Our interactive tours are designed for specific grade levels and follow various Georgia state standards curriculum.
Guided tours are reserved for groups of 20 or more. Any group over 40 must schedule a guided tour. Guided Tours are available beginning in September through the end of the school year. Due to higher demand for tours in April and May, we encourage scheduling for those months as soon as possible.
Cost is $3.50 per student, ages 4-18. Free admission extended to lead teacher, bus driver and one chaperone per 10 students.
Policies for Self-Guided Tours Teachers may choose to guide their own classes in specific exhibitions. Self-Guided Tours are scheduled Monday - Saturday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. All self-guided groups are encouraged to register at least two weeks in advance to ensure availability.
Cost is $3.50 per student. One chaperone per 10 children is required and are admitted free. Each additional chaperone is $3.50 each. The maximum number of students for a self-guided tour is 40.
Teachers interested in a self-guided tour may request a free planning pass when registering for a tour. This offer applies only to teachers scheduling self-guided tours. Email Kristin Veline, Curator of Education to receive a pass.
Class Information for Teachers Curriculum Guides for Grades 5 - 12 will be available in November to be used in conjunction with our temporary exhibit, Otis Redding: I’ve Got Dreams to Remember.
Teachers (including home school) interested in a self-guided tour may request a free planning pass when registering for a tour. This pass enables the teacher a chance to become familiar with the museum before the class visits. This offer applies only to teachers scheduling self-guided tours.
