3rd Annual Otis Redding Singer/Songwriter Camp Announces Partnership with Berklee College of Music
(Macon, GA) The Georgia Music Hall of Fame and The Big “O” Youth Educational Dream Foundation announce that the 3rd Annual Otis Redding Singer/Songwriter Camp, to be held June 21-25, 2010, will include a partnership with the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Instructors from the Boston-based campus will travel to Macon to train campers in Pulse Music Method, a real-time and web-based music education program for students nationwide regardless of financial means or location. In the Pulse curriculum, students learn music theory, ear training and receive instrumental and vocal training by playing and analyzing the music of today.
“We are ecstatic about the partnership with the Berklee College of Music and the opportunity to bring its ground-breaking curriculum to Middle Georgia youths participating in our camp,” said Zelma Redding, founder of The Big “O” Youth Educational Dream Foundation. “This greatly enhances the programming we have developed with the Georgia Music Hall of Fame and further achieves our goal of improving the quality of life for our community through education.”
