AFFILIATE SPOTLIGHT: The Sylvia & William Gretsch Memorial Foundation In 2002, The Sylvia & William Gretsch Memorial Foundation established GuitarArt, an art program to assist schools and organizations with fundraising. Used instruments are donated to schools and organizations and turned into beautiful and unique works of art that are sold at auction to help with fundraising needs. Guitar Art is a two-tiered program: schools or organizations can receive one to five used beginner level guitars (Basic Instrument Program) for students and faculty to decorate, or one non-playable instrument (Professional Level) with the potential to attract professional artists to decorate it. Using "Guitar Art" is just one way that local community advocates may attract attention to the importance of a complete education that includes music and the arts. You can find out more about how the Gretsch Foundation believes in enriching peoples' lives through the participation in music. Please visit us at www.guitart.org and www.gretsch125th.com.
